Pulmonary Artery Denervation (PADN) shows promise as a novel therapeutic approach in pulmonary hypertension, International Journal of Cardiology, May 2025 edition

Pulmonary Artery Denervation (PADN) shows promise as a novel therapeutic approach targeting the sympathetic nervous system’s role in pulmonary hypertension, reveal the findings of a metanalysis reviewing 14 studies, involving 372 patients. Pulmonary Artery Denervation improved several key hemodynamic parameters and clinical outcomes. The meta-analysis was published in the May 2025 edition of the International Journal of Cardiology.

The authors say that, however, the substantial heterogeneity observed among studies highlights the need for standardized procedures and further high-quality, long-term randomized controlled trials to validate these findings and refine patient selection criteria.
