The European Commission has launched a call for expressions of interest to represent patients’ organisations in European Medicines Agency’s (EMA) Committee for Orphan Medicinal Products (COMP).
This is a very important opportunity for patients to have a role in the approval of orphan medicinal products!
The call aims to fill three positions nominated by the European Commission to represent patient organisations. The three members will be appointed for a term of three years from 1 July 2024, which can be renewed.
The deadline for the submission of applications to the European Commission is at 12:00 CET on 7 December 2023. The current members may re-apply.
