Researchers at Brown University, USA, find that molecular profiles may help create more effective individualized treatment for pulmonary arterial hypertension, The Brown Daily Herald, October 15, 2026

In a retrospective study, researchers at Brown University looked back at data from patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension. Their cells had been collected from the lung blood vessels during routine catheter procedures. After they collected the cells, the researchers sequenced the cells’ RNA content. Next, they used a bioinformatics pipeline to determine which specific molecular targets are in the patient. This suggests a way to personalise treatment, which the team now plans to test in a prospective study.
