Pulmovant announces positive topline results from its Phase 2 PHocus trial of mosliciguat in pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD)

The findings of the Pulmovant Phase 2 PHocus trial of mosliciguat in pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD, Group 3 of the World Health Organisation, WHO, pulmonary hypertension classification) were presented on September 8, 2026, at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) International Congress 2026 by Marc Humbert, MD, PhD, Professor of Respiratory Medicine at Université Paris-Saclay and Director of the French National Reference Center for Pulmonary Hypertension. The drug produced a statistically significant 56.3% reduction in pulmonary vascular resistance (p<0.0001), alongside improvements in six-minute walk distance and NT-proBNP (a marker of heart strain). The company credits patient organizations for their role in the program — raising awareness, supporting patients and families, and helping ensure the patient voice shaped the study’s design and conduct.

Building on these results, Pulmovant is now setting to launc PHrontier, a Phase 3 trial of mosliciguat, as the next step toward bringing a new treatment to patients with pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease.

Mosliciguat is a potential first-in-class, once-daily, inhaled sGC activator with a differentiated mechanism of action designed to deliver targeted pulmonary vasodilation with limited systemic side effects for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease.

Pulmovant is a clinical-stage biotechnology company and Roivant company.
