Vittorio Vivenzio, President of the Italian Pulmonary Hypertension Association AMIP ODV, has released a new educational video on the association’s social media platforms. The video offers an easily comprehensible and “light” approach to understanding the intricate mechanisms behind the condition and the challenges of obtaining a timely and accurate diagnosis. It underscores the significance of early referral to expert centers and emphasizes how patient associations can offer invaluable information and support.
The video has English subtitles.
The project originated when Renata, a pulmonary hypertension patient and Member of the Board of AMIP, from Milan, who is involved in amateur theater, performed in a stand-up routine and based it on her experience of the condition. This sparked the idea to create a cartoon video to garner more attention, ensuring it reaches a broader audience.
The drawings were done by a company in Milan; Renata did the voiceover and took care of all the organisational details. She received constant support throughout the project, and the board was readily available for any assistance. The video was truly a team effort.
