The Pulmonary Hypertension Association in the US in collaboration with the National Scleroderma Foundation is organising a live webinar on September 20, 2024 at 2 p.m. EDT/6 p.m. UTC on “Managing Scleroderma and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension”. Scleroderma is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks various organs and tissues, including the lungs, kidneys, heart, blood vessels, joints, muscles, and gastrointestinal tract. It is estimated that up to 80% of scleroderma patients may develop lung complications such as interstitial lung disease or pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). As a result, screening for pulmonary arterial hypertension is recommended for those with scleroderma.
