Today, on May 5, World Pulmonary Hypertension Day, the Alliance for Pulmonary Hypertension celebrates one year since the launch of the Pulmonary Hypertension Knowledge Sharing Platform!
For those of you who have not yet had a chance to visit it, the Pulmonary Hypertension Knowledge Sharing Platform is:
- A digital library housing information 600+resources in different languages and formats
- A news portal to stay updated with the latest developments in the field
- A comprehensive calendar highlighting major international scientific events
- A digital space where members of the community can showcase their latest activities
- A virtual platform to engage with other members of the community
- A directory to help reach out to other patient associations around the world
The Pulmonary Hypertension Knowledge Sharing Platform is an open, inclusive, interactive and dynamic space:
- Open: No passwords or registration required. Access is swift and free for all.
- Inclusive: Anyone can contribute by sending patient stories, articles, photos, videos and other information materials.
- Interactive: Visitors can engage by commenting on posts and articles.
- Dynamic: Updated consistently with information specifically tailored to the PH community.
The project is still young but the the metrics for the first year are encouraging:
- Almost 9.000 page views
- 2.700 visitors
- From 68 countries
- In 6 continents
- And 700+new visitors in the last month alone!
The feedback from the patient community, with 27 pulmonary hypertension associations around the world having allowed us to use their logos and publish their materials, further affirms its significance. May of them are also engaging with the platform by sharing information resources or news of their activities.
Additionally, the participation of distinguished global experts in our educational webinars and in our Scientific Committee underscores the recognition of our knowledge sharing initiative within the scientific community.
The Pulmonary Hypertension Knowledge Sharing Platform is intended as a permanent work in progress, set to evolve with new advancements in the pulmonary hypertension field and the influx of fresh contributions. Its success depends on the community’s active involvement. We greatly appreciate your ongoing support!
